Madonna Sacrifices VALUES for PROFIT

Madonna had better clean up her business before she starts cleaning up the world. The Material Mom is the headliner at tomorrow night's Live Earth show from London's Wembley Stadium. But guess what? For her, the word green means money, not the environment.
Madonna, who seems to be on top of all her many business endeavors, has actually invested about $2.7 million dollars in companies that are creating the destruction that Live Earth is trying to raise awareness about. She has invested in several companies named as the biggest corporate polluters in the world.
It's a cruel irony that Madonna's Ray of Light Foundation owns blocks of shares in companies that folks like Al Gore and Leonardo DiCaprio would like to see punished and rehabilitated for their attitudes toward global warming, climate control and basic pollution.
The companies include Alcoa, Ingersoll Rand, Weyerhaeuser, and several others associated with oil exploration, digging, and refining including British Petroleum, Schlumberger (a chief competitor of Halliburton), Devon Energy, Peabody Energy, Emerson Electric, Kimberly Clark and Weatherford International.
In 2002, the University of Massachusetts' Political Research Institute ranked Alcoa No. 9 on a list of all-time toxic American companies. And I don't mean toxic as in toxic bachelor. This is toxic as in air pollution.
The same UMass PRI study ranked Ford Motor Company at No. 7 on the Toxic Top 10. Northrop Grumman was No. 17. Weyerhaeuser was No. 42. Emerson Electric was No. 56. 3M Corp was No. 70. Kimberly Clark was No. 96.
You get the picture. Madonna's Ray of Light Foundation has stock in each of these companies. Her last published tax statement claims $4.2 million in corporate stock, and only $620,000 in donations to other charities including her pet project: the Kabbalah Center.
Madonna even has 175,000 shares of Ford Motor Company, which in 2005 — the last year for which Ray of Light Foundation's tax form is available — had only one hybrid SUV in its fleet. Even now, but certainly then, Ford was/is not known as a green company. The only obvious thing Ford and Madonna have in common is Detroit — although it could be argued that only Ford has retained its Midwest accent.
Take Weyerhaeuser Corporation, a "forest products" company that is basically in the business of killing trees for paper and wood for housing. In 2005, Madonna owed roughly 1,100 shares valued at an average price of $63. Since then, the share price is up to around $80. If her number of shares remained constant, she's made a nice profit over the last two years.

Madonna DIVA DEMANDS for "Saving Live Earth GIG"

POP queen Madonna has laid down a bizarre list of diva demands for her planet-saving Live Earth gig. It includes a dozen boxes of strawberries, a skipping rope and eight full-length mirrors. Insiders say the bash is now in danger of being overshadowed by the clash of the stars’ huge egos. Madge, 48, is headlining Saturday’s Wembley Stadium concert. An insider revealed: "She has asked for 12 dozen boxes of strawberries, eight full-length mirrors, a skipping rope, Yorkshire Tea, organic green tea, and vanilla room spray."It’s all quite amusing – but if this is just for rehearsals we can’t wait to see what happens on the big day."

JFK Jr. And Madonna's Secret Exposed

A raunchy tryst between John F. Kennedy Jr. and pop superstar Madonna was cut short when the pair failed to find a condom, a pal of the late socialite confides. The pair allegedly arranged a secret rendezvous at a low budget hotel in Chicago in the summer of 1988.
However, the sexy date was cut short because neither star had considered using protection. Kennedy's pal Rob Littell reveals in new biography American Legacy, "They were working their way around the bases, and as they rounded third and headed for home, she asked him if he had any protection. He didn't, so now they began discussing how they were going to get a hold of a prophylactic. She was still legally married to
Sean Penn, and he had a steady girlfriend... They were afraid of being busted. They couldn't very well just meander into a pharmacy and ask for a pack of Trojans. They were too well known.
"To John's great chagrin, the relationship was never completed."

Two Cars Try To Ram Madonna's Car Off the Road

Madonna was forced to phone for police help after two cars allegedly tried to ram her off the road on New York City's Fifth Avenue. Thursday's street scare saw the singer's driver call cops over fears their pursuers had evil designs on the star. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "Madonna's driver noticed there were two big vehicles driving closely behind her and tried to ditch them by turning onto Fifth Avenue.

He was particularly concerned as Madonna has recently been sent some disturbing mail - which has been somewhat threatening to say the least. But as he turned to go along Fifth Avenue, the two following cars tried to ram Madonna's car off the road and she was forced to dial 911. Eventually, after a high-speed chase, her driver managed to lose them and they reported it to the police in a lengthy phone call. Madonna is carrying on as normal but she's stepped up security."

Madonna Defends Rosie

Watch the Interview

While being interviewed on the Today Show Madonna told Meredith Vieira, "People are giving Rosie a hard time. I wish they'd stop. I don't think it's fair." Madge revealed she was on vacation when news of the public feud broke, and quickly emailed Rosie to get the real scoop. "

Madonna believes that since O'Donnell is a standup comic, saying controversial things in monologues is par for the course. "I have a feeling that if every stand-up comic was penalized for saying politically incorrect or provocative things, I think they'd all be hung in the public square."
