More than 7,000 people took part in a mass Tai Chi class in Mexico City on Sunday, attempting to set a record for the most people practicing the martial art outside of China.
Organizers are hoping that their achievement can be officially verified by Guinness World Records ahead of World Tai Chi Day on April 29."These 7,000 people came from different cities all over the country in order to participate in Tai Chi as one class,” organizer Willy Guerrero said.
Also on Sunday, 250 martial arts schools in 27 countries held synchronized Tai Chi sessions.
