Millions of people in north-eastern Nigeria are at risk of dying from starvation. Aid organisations are struggling to reach communities in need, as many are in remote inaccessible areas. Their mission is further complicated by Boko Haram attacks. The World Food Programmes describes the situation as the biggest crisis it's seen in the past 50 years. WFP estimates it needs another 230 million dollars between now and October to save children in particular from dying of hunger.
