Spears' mother: She's 'just figuring things out

Lynne Spears says her daughter Britney, whose public meltdown included shearing off her own locks, is "just figuring things out." "It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another," Spears is quoted as telling Us Weekly magazine in its latest issue.

"Everything is going to be good," Lynne Spears tells the magazine. "Everything is going to be really good. I can see her life picking up and it's just going to hold great things for her."

Hilton's parents skip line on jail visit

Paris Hilton's parents visited their daughter after breezing past others waiting to see loved ones -- an incident that raised new complaints that the heiress is receiving special treatment. The visit came less than a week after Hilton was reassigned to house arrest days after being jailed for violating parole.

Alvina Floyd, one visitor to the at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, waited more than four hours to visit her fiance. It normally takes two hours, and Floyd, 20, blamed the Hiltons for the delay.

Lindsay Lohan Sued Over Van Crash

Legal problems continue to follow Lindsay even while she recovers in rehab. The 20-year-old starlet has been sued by Grandeur Inc., which claims the actress crashed into a company van in October 2005. Lohan was behind the wheel in Beverly Hills when her car collided with a parked van, according to small claims court papers filed May 18. Grandeur Inc. is seeking $3,624.84 in damages. A judge will hear the matter on June 20.
