The striker continued his fine run of form in front of goal as Jose Mourinho’s men secured victory in the Europa League at Old Trafford.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a hat-trick as Manchester United defeated Saint-Etienne 3-0 to seize the advantage in the first leg of their Europa League last 32 tie.
The Swede found the back of the net courtesy of a deflection off Vincent Pajot, but Jose Mourinho’s men rode their luck on several occasions.
Saint-Etienne regularly caused United problems on the counter attack with their best chance falling to Nolan Roux, who had an effort deflected over the crossbar.
However, United soon increased their lead as Ibrahimovic found the back of the net twice in the final 15 minutes.
